Scenes from a Parisian Café (Bb Clarinet & Piano)
Written in 2013, Scenes from a Parisian Cafe is a collection of 14 concert and educational pieces for beginner to intermediate Bb Clarinet (roughly grades 2 – 5). Despite being originally written for the UK educational and exam market, the pieces have found a market with a much wider audience worldwide and are now very popular concert pieces in their own right, both individually, and in custom chosen groups by each each performer. The entire collection has also been performed on many occasions in full, as part of concerts, and music/art installations.
The pieces cover the course of a day in a Parisian scene, from morning to night, and cover a range of tempos and styles with something to suit any occasion and mood. With a total length of 27 mins, this is exciting collection for any concert, educational, or fun repertoire requirements.
The 38 page score (with 18 page part booklet) comes with an accompanying CD features a full demonstration track (Clarinet with Piano) and a piano-only backing track for each piece. The pieces are also available as PDF downloads, as both a collection and individually.
